SOLARIS Wins Gold and Silver at the Asian Power Awards 2025
The SOLARIS team receives Gold for ESG Integration Excellence of the Year and Silver for Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative of the Year at the Asian Power Awards 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Behind them, the branded backdrop of one of the Asia-Pacific energy industry's most prestigious nights. Two awards. One project. A NING*NING that the world is now watching.

On October 23, 2025, Jin Navitas Solaris, Inc. (SOLARIS) stood on an international stage in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and brought home two of the most prestigious honors in the Asia-Pacific energy industry.

At the Asian Power Awards 2025, often called the Oscars of the power sector, SOLARIS received the Gold Award for ESG Integration Excellence of the Year and the Silver Award for Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative of the Year, both for the NING*NING Solar Rooftop Project. The recognition placed SOLARIS alongside the region's leading energy companies, including Aboitiz Power Corporation, Meralco PowerGen Corporation, and San Miguel Global Power Holdings Corporation.

For the Joy~Nostalg Group, the awards were a global affirmation of what NING*NING has always been: not just a renewable energy project, but a model of what purpose-driven development looks like when it is built on compassion as much as innovation.

What the Awards Recognize

What the Awards Recognize
Gold. Silver. Both for NINGNING. The Asian Power Awards 2025 recognized the NINGNING Solar Rooftop Project by Jin Navitas Solaris, Inc. for ESG Integration Excellence of the Year and Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative of the Year. Not just for what it generates, but for what it proves: that clean energy and community development can be built to serve each other.

The Asian Power Awards celebrate companies that have introduced game-changing solutions to meet the world's growing energy demands while addressing the climate crisis. The jury evaluates projects not only on technical achievement but on the depth and breadth of their social and environmental impact.

The Gold Award for ESG Integration Excellence recognized SOLARIS for embedding environmental and social responsibility directly into the Pasinaya Homes brand, integrating solar energy into affordable housing in a way that creates measurable, sustained community benefit. The Silver Award for Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative recognized the scale and social impact of the NING*NING pilot in Naic, Cavite.

Together, the two awards affirm that NING*NING is not simply a Filipino first. It is a globally recognized model for how clean energy and community development can be designed to serve each other.

What NING*NING Is

What NING*NING Is
1,986 homes. Every rooftop, a solar panel. Every panel, a contribution to the grid. This is Pasinaya Homes Prime Central in Naic, Cavite — the site of NING*NING, the world's first grid-connected, utility-grade rooftop solar installation embedded within a socialized housing community. A new beginning, powered by the sun.

NING*NING is the world's first grid-connected, utility-grade rooftop solar installation embedded within a socialized housing community. Developed by SOLARIS in partnership with Raemulan Lands, Inc, the pilot project was energized in 2024 at Pasinaya Homes Prime Central in Naic, Cavite, where solar panels are installed across the rooftops of 1,986 homes.

Each home in Pasinaya Homes is a Pasinaraw home, from pasinaya, meaning new beginning, and araw, meaning sun. Every rooftop feeds electricity directly to the national grid. The project generates enough clean power for thousands of households annually and offsets 6,233 metric tons of CO₂ emissions every year, without converting a single square meter of agricultural land.

A portion of the revenue from electricity sales is returned to the community through the Community Assurance Support program, funding roof maintenance, street lighting, waste management, shared solar facilities, and community development programs for the homeowners of Pasinaya Homes Prime Central.

SOLARIS President and CEO Jose Alfonso Miras described the vision behind the project simply and precisely:

"NING*NING shows that clean energy can do more than power homes. It can uplift communities, preserve farmland, and directly share its benefits with people."

Solutions with Compassion

The tagline that guided SOLARIS to Kuala Lumpur is the same one that has guided the Joy~Nostalg Group from the beginning: Solutions with Compassion.

NING*NING advances 13 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty reduction, sustainable cities, and affordable clean energy. It was designed not to compete with agricultural land but to maximize existing rooftop space. It was built not to displace communities but to empower them. And it was recognized at the Asian Power Awards not despite its social dimensions but because of them.

This is what makes NING*NING different. And this is what the Asian Power Awards jury chose to honor.

What Comes Next

The Asian Power Awards recognition arrives at a moment of significant momentum for SOLARIS. The company has already secured 35 MW of rooftop solar capacity across three new developments in Cavite, Bulacan, and Pampanga under the Department of Energy's Green Energy Auction Program. NING*NING is no longer a pilot. It is a platform.

Miras expressed the ambition clearly:

"With more socialized housing developments rising across the country, we believe the NING*NING model can serve more communities, in the Philippines, and potentially beyond. More than energy output, we see it as a template for aligning clean energy expansion with social and agricultural priorities."

For the Joy~Nostalg Group, these two awards are not the destination. They are confirmation that the direction is right. Home the Homeless. Power the Powerless. Love the Loveleast.

NING*NING is all three.
